Making New Friends
Making new friends can be tough. If a kid is new in town, quiet and shy or just unsure how to go about the task of meeting his or her peers, making a new friend can seem nearly impossible. The Life Lessons Kids know that practice can help increase your confidence, making challenging situations less so. When fear keeps the Kid from meeting the children in his new neighborhood, he practices making eye contact, smiling and other "friendly" techniques. With practice, and some encouragement from the audience, he takes the step towards making a new friend, one of the Kids on the Block. (K - 6th) |
