Through realistic roleplays, lively music and entertaining action,
Renaldo, Melody and Joanne provide tangible tools for children to use
when incorporating fire safety and prevention strategies in their
lives. Originally designed in conjunction with
the Alexandria, Virginia,
Department of Public Safety, the program introduces children to
reasonable fire safety measures
and to other crucial safety information. The package consists of large
hand-crafted puppets, three scripts, one song, props, and follow-up
activities and resources, to form a
comprehensive curriculum
on the topic. The program features three of the most popular Kids on
the Block characters from whom children will learn how to prevent fire,
how to avoid
potentially hazardous situations,
and how to react appropriately should danger occur.
