PUPPETS HELP KIDS STOP BULLIES IN THEIR TRACKS!

Columbia, MD (November 1, 1999) –
The Kids on the Block, Inc., an award winning, international educational puppet company which uses puppetry to teach children about disabilities, medical differences and social concerns has introduced a new program to help children handle bullying.

“Nobody should have to deal with a bully all by themselves,” says Clare Sanchez, one of the puppet characters from The Kids on the Block Program on Bullies and School Safety.  "Other kids... adults... it's everyone's responsibility to stop bullying!"

This new educational program is designed to explain and define bullying, examine various problem solving techniques, provide intervention strategies, encourage children to be secure and confident in their own perceptions of right and wrong and to reject unacceptable bullying behavior in others.

Clare and her puppet friends, Eddy Franklin and Melody James, get kids talking  about bullies and school safety issues during interactive school presentations which feature question and answer periods between the puppet characters and the audience.
